Each floor has its own color scheme, with all rooms brightly decorated with wooden floors, three cream walls and one bold sponge painted wall (yellow, red, orange, green or blue). Buffet restaurant - The hotel’s first floor restaurant forms a V-shape around the glass walls of the central atrium. A window stretching the length of one of the sides looks out over the street. Wooden floorboards, cream walls and white tablecloths complete the light and airy ambience. It seats 40 and serves buffet breakfast every morning. Bar - The lobby bar features design worthy of a fashionable cocktail bar, with bright red moon stools at the bar, and low armchairs upholstered in gray with curved wooden arms. What to expect: Built in 2001, the hotel has many modern design features, including a triangular glass atrium at the rear of the lobby. The bright white marble lobby has large mosaic columns and is lined with curious red painted stones, while the lobby bar is lined with stylish bright red moon stools. The hotel’s swish contemporary design makes it particularly popular with trendy young couples. When the weather is good there can be few places in Barcelona better to relax and enjoy the sun than the hotel’s roof terrace. It has a raised deck with a swimming pool and spa pool. There are also tables, chairs and sun-loungers. Menus hang below the telephone so guests can order food and drinks. There’s even an exercise bike for those feeling a little more energetic. It also offers fantastic views of the city. The basement fitness center is decorated with colorful Keith Haring prints and has cardiovascular and resistance machines and some free weights. There is also a sauna, although guests should ask at reception to make sure they switch it on. The hotel also has two meeting rooms which can be opened up to form one large one with a capacity of 60.
