Aeroport El Prat (BCN):Approximate driving time from Barcelona's international airport is 20 minutes and distance is 15 kilometers (9 miles). Local trains, the express Aerob?ervice and taxis are available for transfer from the airport to the city center. Trains and buses stop at Pla?d'Espanya and central Pla?de Catalunya, from where you can take the Metro or taxi to the hotel. The Metro and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FCG) train network can get you around much of central Barcelona within 20 minutes. The nearest Metro stop to the hotel is Les Corts. There is also an extensive bus network. The hotel can order taxis on request.

Driving directions from Barcelona Airport: Take the highway to Barcelona Center. Follow signs for Diagonol St where you will see the Corte Ingles (famous shopping centre). Turn right after the Corte Ingles and the hotel is down this street.

What to expect: The modern white block stands near the tall bank towers of La Caixa and the El Corte Ingl?department store. The spacious lobby, with white marble floor, green leather lounges and plants (including some small fig trees) has a hushed ambience. Towards the end sits the reception and, further down is the hotel's restaurant, bustling in the early morning with the hotel's mostly business guests. Amenity highlights: On the first floor the hotel offers a series of six conference rooms that can be opened out to connect with one another. In the basement a large salon is used for everything from wedding banquets to business events. Hotel guests can enjoy an extensive complimentary buffet breakfast in the ground floor restaurant, or send an email from the computer near the reception. Insider tip: Camp Nou, home stadium to FC Barcelona, one of Spain's top football (soccer) clubs and eternal rival of Madrid's champions, Real Madrid, is 1 kilometer from the hotel. The stadium can hold up to 120,000 spectators but it can be hard to obtain tickets for big matches like the Madrid-Barcelona derby. The next best thing is to visit the stadium's museum, which is full of soccer memorabilia.
